An early goal from Abid set the tone against a Rugby team made up of all boys at Hartfield. A solid display from midfielders Holt (Captain) and Hardie kept KL on the front foot for most of the game with both forwards (Fereday and Abid) latching on to a couple of good chances in the first half. The visitors heading into the break 2-1 up at HT.

At the break, KL agreed to move the ball quicker and take advantage of free hits by not letting the opposition get set before taking the free hit which helped McNeal and Nowak exploit the wings with direct impactful runs into the D.

Adcock, Prescott, Bills x 2 plus R Fereday worked well at the back muffling any breaks on goal and turning defence into attack. This resulted in A Fereday finding the backboard with a fine slap shot to make it 3-1 with 20 mins left to play.
